Panel repair
The following page detailes, step by step, panel repairs I have comlpeted to a Maserati gran turismo, Nissan Navaro, vw eos, nissan primastar minibus and a peugeot 308.
All repaires are done using the same high quality Glasurit paint and clear coat.
Step 1:
This Maserati has a small dent on the left hand wing you can see the distortion in the refection of the yellow and black from my compressor.
It is not possible repair only this small area as the high spot of the dent rises above the swage line onto the upper part of the wing, its also almost inpossble to fade out the clearcoat on a black panel.
Step 2:
The high spots have been hammerd down using a small tapping stick and the rest of the dent has been filled.
Step 3:
The repaired area is primed. Then sanded untill smooth the edges are featherd out so no outline will be seen when the repair in complete.
Step 4:
The whole panel is cleaned masked up and made ready for paint.
Step 5:
The panel has now been painted and clearcoated and the repair is almost complete.
Step 6:
The panel is left the bakeoff and cure over night before it is compouned and polished the following day.
Step 7:
The Car is now finished.
Step 1:
The following repair is a medium sized dent on a Nissan Navada.

Step 2
The dent must be pulled out with a slide hammer and the high spot to the right side of the dent is hammerd down. The area is then sanded ready for filling.

Step 3
The filling is complete. The repaired area has had two coats of primer and its now ready for paint.

Step 4
The repair is complete and the dent is completly gone.

Step 4:

Step 1:
This Nissan Primerstar has sustained quite alot of damage to the sliding door and wheel arch I have out-lined some of the damage on pic 2 as its a bit difficult to see. The more major dents are removed as much as possible with a slide hammer and then filled. The wheel arch is also straigthend as much as possible without distorting the panel.

Step 2:

Step 5
The repair is complete although its a fairly small dent its taken around 5 hours from start to finish.
